| Wowee...
It has been months since I've even looked at this thing... which is good. Since it's quite ugly :D
Anywho, life is great. I'm getting a car. I'm getting braces (UGH). I'm getting... um... cooler by the second :D Sweet.

| Only three more days left until school starts, and you know what? I'm actually excited to go back. I feel that I need a routine to get more organized.
I have a feeling that this year will be the best so far in high school. Just a hunch.
6th Grade Orientation is tonight at GFBC and we're painting our new banner for 05-06 so I'll be there from 3-8ish today. Speaking of church, I couldn't feel worse about this morning... humiliation sucks the big one, folks...

| Band camp is over, and although I don't miss the intense heat and the constant sweaty feeling, I already miss being around all of my friends during those long 13 hour days. We've gotten through our first two songs drill-wise and for the end of band camp, they were performed fairly well, I would say. But in no way is the journey over, my friends. Not by a long shot. People think that after band camp is over, it's smooth sailing from then on. It actually gets ten times harder once school starts. Not only do you have the 8 practices a week for marching and playing, but now we have football game performances, competitions on Saturdays starting in September, not to mention the piles and piles of schoolwork. It's a juggling act, but it's not impossible.
The thing is: you personally, have to make this year great. Every single person will get out of this year what they put into it. I see great potential in this year's band. It's up to everyone doing their best and giving their all that will determine whether we make the judges go, "Oops, there's a slight discrepancy in that form" or "WOW, CARY, you guys sure know how to catch someone's attention! Great job!"
I can't wait to see how this year goes. Will we truly be "Number 1, sir!"?

| You know it will be a loooooong day when you wake up and constantly look around because you have this ticking in your ears that sounds painfully like a gock block... ><!!!
Geez... say it with me now... baaaaaannnnnnddddd caaaaaaammmmmppppp. Good, boys and girls.
*sigh* I had a total of 4 hours of sleep last night because of that stupid yard sale... which I slept through, HAHA.
Anywho, tomorrow's my real relaxation day since I actually did do a lot of stuff hoy. I hope everyone's having a nice and easy weekend.
Peace! -Knox

| Dies Irae. Marriage of Figaro. Ave Verum Corpus. Eiene Kleine Nachtmusik. Symphony 25. Concertino (Alla Turk).
HCOASWM!!! Once we get our drill clean, our lines straight, our toes pointing to the sky and looking SPECTACULAR, all we have to do is put this AWESOME music to this show that Kelly is writing for us, and hands down we could make semi-finals AT LEAST at BOA Grand Nationals... It's too bad that we didn't have this show last year when we were actually going...
Sousaphone is proving to be a lot harder physically than I thought I'd have to deal with... My ankles are KILLING me >< I need new ones... ankles, that is.
*sigh* Too much inner-band drama going on already... someone just hand me the morphine syringe, and I'll be fine.
I'm kind of ready for school to start so I have something to keep me busy instead of me being home and doing things for the 'rents left and right.
I'm worn out, cranky, hurting, sleepy, annoyed, all of the above... We're supposed to rest this weekend? Fat chance of that... I have the yard sale tomorrow, work in the afternoon until 5, and then I told Scott I'd transpose all of the Tuba music to Bflat so he could actually read it... aren't I a good section mate?
Leave me some love and I'll hopefully update this thing later this weekend.
Peace, -Knox | | |
